Town sunpao phuket

A trip to town…

Fancy a trip to Phuket Town? Phuket Town is often overlooked as the island main attractions are the beautiful white sandy beaches which you can find all along the west coast, but you’ll be surprised to find there’s a lot to see on the east coast too.

The Phuket Town is absolutely charming with its Sino-Portuguese buildings; most of those can be found in the Old Town streets such as Thalang Road, Soi Romanee, Krabi Road, Dibuk Road, a perfect blend of Colonial Style, Chinese architecture and Feng Shui.

The town is vibrant and offers plenty of restaurants, antique stores and herbs shops set into those historical buildings which have recently been renovated and brought back to their original splendor.

Make sure you don’t miss the oldest pharmacy in Phuket Town, a true dive into the past, the former Governor House, now a fine restaurant serving Thai delicacy, Chinpracha House, built in the 1700’s by a rich Chinese family and now an historical museum, a delicious cup of coffe in on of the numerous coffee shop set into old warehouses and specially the Sunday Night Old Market or “Thailand Yai”, a street market set in the fascinating scenario the Old Town offers at night, where you will find a great selection of street food, artists playing music or painting portraits and much more.
